19Crimes is a brand of wines from the Napa Valley, California, celebrating some late eighteenth-century criminals who were sent to colonize Australia. An app lets you discover its history.
An app that allows to bring to life the label of a line of Californian wines, from Shiraz to Cabernet Sauvignon.
The idea came to the holders of a Napa Valley company who decided to celebrate the history of some of the criminals who lived at the end of the eighteenth century, who were convicted of nineteen crimes as settlers in the lost Australia.
By downloading the app on the phone and framing the company’s bottles, the labels of the latter come to life, and the convicted criminals tell their story.
The following video is a bit macabre, but in a country that makes the glitz and pompousness one of its fundamental characteristics, we are sure that the 19Crimes line will still succeed.
The app has been created only in the last few weeks, but the wine line has already been on sale for a couple of years.
