The British singer and songwriter revealed that he never drank wine until he was twenty years old. “I drank beer,” he confessed, “I think it was the Brunello di Montalcino to convert me.” And now he produces its own line.
He always keeps himself in a great shape Gordon Matthew Thomas, better known as Sting.
At 66 years of age, the singer author of historical pieces like “Englishman in New York” and former frontman of the Group Police, confesses to the Corriere della Sera that he never drank wine until he was 20 years old.
“I drank beer,” the singer explained, “Then I think it was Brunello di Montalcino who converted me to wine”
Today Sting always drinks a glass of wine when he can, and he dedicates himself to doing a lot of physical exercise too. Walking, in fact, also allows him to meditate. And when he’s not in Italy, his favorite hideaway is Central Park in New York.
Currently the singer owns a estate in the south of Florence and today produces about sixty bottles of this very special nectar.
It seems that Gordon, who retires in Tuscany whenever he can, with his wife Trudy Styler, is very proud of his wines. They have a market, today, not only because they are the wines of a famous singer, but because they are really good in taste.
The villa of Gordon Thomas is the Palagio. You can visit the company’s website by clicking here.
